Journaling Workbook
With the healthcare system continuously changing, it becomes increasingly important for managers and leaders to evolve as well. Understanding the knowledge, skills and abilities that are essential in your career lays the foundation for your professional development. To begin that development, you must be able to evaluate your own abilities. Self-evaluation is a tool that must be learned in order to grow and mature in your career. The value of journaling demonstrates this tool and teaches you how to self-evaluate. Assessing yourself can be difficult, but understanding your strengths and weaknesses will only leave room for improvement.
The journaling workbook project is designed to promote reflective thinking on the competencies you will be expected to demonstrate in your early career as a healthcare manager. These competency sets are organized into six domains [leadership, critical thinking, scientific/analytic, management, political and community development, and communication].
