The Rawls College of Business in collaboration with the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Nursing and Texas Health Resources is pleased to announce the Certificate for Health Care Change Program. This program is offered for both undergraduate and graduate TTUHSC nursing students and is designed to prepare staff, front-line transforming needs required in today's complex environments.
Why a Health Care Change Program?
The demand for more effective and responsive workers in the health care industry requires professionals with a strong foundation in system design and improvement. You will learn how to apply customized Six Sigma and Lean principles to more effectively:
- Identify dysfunctional workflows and employ the right tools to improve unit performance
- Understand how human factors, physical layouts, and policies can be harmonized to create high reliability organizations
- Identify and eliminate waste from your organization's value stream
- Map out a plan to begin or accelerate your unit's transformation in a manner consistent with your organization's culture, values and mission

Health care organizations must continuously change to maintain competitive edge and needs leaders to make those changes happen. The Certificate for Health Care Change is an ideal complement to a wide variety of health professionals including:

All credits earned from the certificate program can be applied towards other Texas Tech degrees including the Executive MBA Program, the BSN or MSN in Nursing Administration as the certificate programs contain fully-accredited course work.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
Earning the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt will allow you to develop and implement the process improvement projects your organization needs. In addition, it is your first step toward becoming a Black Belt with the skills to oversee other's quality improvement projects. You will be Green Belt Certified at the end of your Certificate training.
