Scholarships
The Susan Y. Stanton Scholarship
The late Susan Stanton was the first HOM graduate and the founding Executive Director of the Community Health Center of Lubbock. She exemplified outstanding academic achievement and made a significant contribution to the disadvantaged and underserved. In her honor, the HOM Executive Committee created the Susan Y. Stanton Scholarship for outstanding students.
The criteria for eligibility include the following:
- Currently enrolled or have taken MGT 5309
- Upon completion of MGT 5309, a student must be within 12 hours of completing the MBA (HOM)
- The student presented with this award must have made significant academic achievement (reflected in a GPA of 3.75 or better) and demonstrated commitment to community service
The Foster G. McGaw Scholarship
The Foster G. McGaw Scholarship provides financial support to graduate students in health administration. Scholarship funds are awarded each year to all AUPHA full graduate programs. The faculty within these programs disperses these monies at their discretion to students most deserving of recognition.
